The problem of the mixed boundary value of the elastic medium under torsion
The present work aims to study a penny-shaped crack problem inside a homogeneous elastic material under an axisymmetric torsion by a circular rigid inclusion embedded in the elastic medium. With the use of the Hankel integral transformation method, the problem of mixed limit values is reduced to a system of dual integral equations. The latter is converted into a regular system of Fredholm integral equations of the second type which is then solved by the quadrature rule. Numerical results for displacement, stress and stress intensity factor are presented graphically in some special cases of the problem.
