STOCHASTIC DIFFERENTIAL EQUATION IN IMAGE RESTORATION

In this work, we propose to solve the problem of restoring images using stochastic differential equations (SDEs). In a recent work [5], we combined two approaches due to Barbu [1, 2] and Borkowski [3] and deducted that the SDEs are very promising in image restoration.The main idea here is to try to find a good choice for the drift and diffusion terms. In 1990 Perona-Malik (PM) [6] explored two functions to better handle contours of objects in images. In this proposed model, we exploit these functions in the SDE ; more precisely we try to fix the drift and diffusion terms according to PM-functions to improve our previous SDEs results. The obtained experimental results are very encouraging and competetive compare to other SDEs models
